Keep Making Peace

Registration is open for Keep Making Peace's "The 2013 Hunger Games:  Entertaining Violence?" on Saturday, April 13, 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at University United Methodist Church in East Lansing.  
 
Register via msuwesley.org.  The event is $15 per person or $25 per family; however, students are free. Fees are  due at event, cash or check only please.  Lunch is included.
 
The Rev. Ann Duncan from North Carolina, co-author of The Gospel According to Hunger Games, will present:  "Was Christ Present in Panem?"  The Rev. Faith Fowler, pastor of Cass United Methodist Church and Executive Director of Cass Community Services, will present:  "Eat Your Heart Out."
 
Wesley Foundation Chaplains, the Rev. Bill Chu at Michigan State University, and the Rev. Bob Roth at the University of Michigan, will present Christian ways of evaluating media and working for peace with justice for all of God's creation.
 
The 11th annual Keep Making Peace is sponsored by the Boards of Church and Society and the United Methodist Women of the West Michigan and Detroit Conferences plus the Lansing Shalom Center and MSU Wesley.
 
There will also be a film screening of "The Hunger Games" on Friday, April 12, 7:00 pm at University Church - MSU Wesley, 1118 South Harrison Road.  It is free, and no registration is necessary.
